question about medication

so, to make a long story short, i went to the doctor for an overall checkup, because my fam just switched health plans, etc. and i got prescribed some new medication.


the doctor asked me about my menstrual symptoms and whatnot, and found i had unusually severe pms symptoms, and, with encouragement from my mother, (im not out yet) prescribed me low dose estrogen/progestin birth control to regulate everything.

now, i haven't started it yet, but i assume this would be a very bad idea to get on, especially considering that im hoping to start T asap.

im not sexually active, and dont plan to be any time soon, so thats not an issue, but i just wanted to make sure that i was right in assuming this would conflict with my future plans, estrogen being a female hormone, and all.
