I have a question brought forth by my girl. She was thinking one day and said, "I wonder if maybe you have more testosterone or something in your system than say, I do" And, that got me thinking about that. Does anyone know of any research about that? Or, has anyone else thought about that that trans people's hormone levels may be different than ( Read more... )

I have asked this many times, and the answer came back that ftms don't typically have more testosterone than other females. The reason I say this is because a lot of ftms tried to use their more testosterone in their system to say that they are ftm, but there are a lot of feminie women out there with higher levels of testosterone, compare to the average women. Now majority of them, see this through enlargened clits, facial hair growth and so forth. But to say that maybe our reason for being transgendered is because of possible high levels of testosterone, you can't really hit the hammer on the nail and get a precise yes to that. Cause there are always exceptions to a rule; the rule being that ftms have more testosterone ( ... )

Right, I guess it can't be a precise answer because there always are exceptions, even my sister being one of them. But, it would be interesting to at least study.

Also, did you mean ring finger and index finger? And if you did, my index finger is way longer, but I'm not sure how that fits into the study so I'll shut up now. Thanks for the input though!

Males ring fingers (measured crease to tip) are generally much longer than their index fingers. Female bodied people with high levels of testosterone are also supposed to have longer ring fingers.

Not entirely on subject, but this was just posted in another community on my friend's list and mentioned some things about the index/ring finger length too.

haha that's funny, my mom has no spatial ability whatsoever, so that made me laugh. Mine's extremely good however. Thanks for that!
