How This Fest Works

The objective of this fest is to get rid of as many WIPs as you can!! Back in 2016, we tried a version where you pick your own deadline, but as everyone who signed up spectacularily failed to meet their deadlines (which, on second thought, shouldn't have been a surprise at all) this has been turned into a competition ( Read more... )

What if you're working on a WIP and it hasn't been abandoned? I've posted once a week... But I still want it done. And I don't want to finish my other WIPs until that is done, because I'm afraid that if I stop, I will never start again.

So if that counts, then I'm totally in.

Hey, guess what! I read the FAQS, lol. So I guess even though I posted to my story yesterday it still counts? Huzzah

If I have some WIPs that aren't yet up on AO3 does that at count? I have them on Google docs. And I am allowed to still post chapters of a long fic up on AO3 as I complete them?

You most definitely do not need to have your WIPs posted on AO3 in order to be able to sign up for the fest. A lot of people, myself included, don't start posting until it's completely finished, and with one shots your naturally can't post before it's done anyway.

In regards to the still being allowed to post chapters on AO3-question, that one is actually covered in the faqs:

I posted 3 chapters of my fic to AO3 a year ago but never finished it. Can I still sign up with it?
- Sure, as long as it's unfinished offline as well. You are even still allowed to keep posting it chapter by chapter. It will, however not count as a completed fic until it has been fully finished on your chosen posting site.

I hope this answered your questions :)
