Doug's Barbershop
While in Houston for the Fringe, I got my haircut at Doug's Barbershop. This is one of those great old-school places where all the barbers are over 45 years old, they cut hair (instead of "style" hair) and the old good ways still apply. I make it a habit to seek out such places when I travel. I try to go for a wet shave or haircut, when possible. I got a $12 hair cut at Doug's and felt awesome walking out of the place. Added bonus: it is one of the locations where the movie Rushmore was shot by Wes Anderson back in 1998.
