Update for the sake of updating
Well, its been a while since I updated this thing, so here I go. These past few weeks have been uneventful up here, just school and chillin out. But, I guess you could say my days have been brighter since I met, well, let me tell you about how we met first. It was about 2 weeks ago last Thursday, my friends and I were at a Kappa Alpha BBQ over across the street because it was Rush week for the upperclassmen. So we went and we ate and were talking to a group of girls including my friend's Karen and Renee. So we're talking and we all shuffle around because we leave to get drinks and such, so I end up standing next to this really cute girl with long brown hair. I feel really embarassed because I don't know her name because I didn't hear her introduced because I was talking to Bly about KA, but anyway! I finally decided to break the ice because she looked like a nice girl. So I ask where are you from, and she says Bradenton, (which is near Tampa), so I say cool. Now by that time Karen came over and talked to her and i overheard her name was Elise, so I felt a little better that I knew her name. so we keep talking about home, and distance from home and things of that nature. So finally I say, yeah, i have a long way to go when I go home this weekend, she says aww, why are you going home? So I say because my birthday is on Saturday and I'm having a party with my friends and family. She looks at me, her jaw dropps and she says, no way! my birthday is Saturday too!!!! I'm like, no way, what are the odds that we have the same birthday, save the year(she was born in 88, I was born in 87). So we talked for the remainder of the BBQ. So at the end I say, let's exchange numbers so we can chat and talk about when we're gonna have that movie night we need to have. So we exchange numbers w/o question and leave to go to our respective dorms. Later that evening, I call her and ask if she wants to chill, and she says yes. So I meet her out in front of my dorm and we go inside. Once in my room, she looked over my DVD collection and was amazed at the diversity of my collection. She saw Phantom of the Opera and was like, you like that movie, and I said yes, we played selections from in in concert band in high school. so she's like, i love that movie, the songs and such are so beautiful. The only thing going through my mind at that point is, finally, I meet a girl that loves that movie as much as I do and appreciates the musical attributes as well. So we talked about everything from musicals, play's we've seen, high school, friends, family, favorite cities, roomates, how much we love the college. Before we knew it, it was 1am, so I walked her back to her dorm. She thanked me for a great night and said I'm so glad I went tonight ant got to meet all these wonderful people. Needless to say, I walked back to Hollis with a big smile on my face. So, yeah, thats how we met, since then, we've talked nearly everyday and spent as much time as we could together. Yeah, I think you could say I like her and would love to get to know her more. We'll see what happens. Wish me luck!
