Meta-ish discussion: To Rec or Not to Rec (Disappeared Vids & Stuff)

My project of reccing - mostly older - FS vids is confronting me with the conundrum of how to handle vids I love but which aren't available online anymore (and in some cases were deliberately removed by their makers because, for whatever reason, they didn't feel comfortable with sharing them anymore).
