#7: Square One, by Leviathan

A vid that makes Farscape feel like the sf show it is. Dealing with John, and wormholes. And Earth, and identity (a bit, anyway). Nice flow. Very rhythm-sensitive editing, making good use of rhythmic variation.

(This rec ended up kind of short; don't mistake that for a sign of a lack of love on my part. This vid wouldn't be so high up on my recs list if I didn't love it a lot. It's one of the most-watched vids on my drive, in fact. It's just fairly straightforward - in a good way - and therefore doesn't compel me to analyse or describe it in great detail.)

Find it here: http://www.neuralcluster.net/index.php?option=com_docman&task=cat_view&gid=14&dir=DESC&order=name&Itemid=27&limit=5&limitstart=5
(If that link doesn't work, go directly to http://www.neuralcluster.net/, click on "Video Downloads", then "Leviathan's Music Videos", and go to the second page there.)

Fave moments:

0:00-0:35 spacey music, floaty John, wormholes
0:36(etc.) well-timed rocket launch etc.; the experiment; especially nice: FS-1 engines igniting (0:28); wormhole flash (0:45)
1:25-1:29 "It doesn't matter who you are"
1:45-2:35 pretty much that whole sequence is superbly edited, very dynamic, building tension in accord with the music and climaxing in the clip of the burst at 2.35
3:06-3:21 "It doesn't matter who you are"
3:25-3:45 some really good use of wormhole and wormhole simulation footage there
4:15-4:21 Something that is rarely done really well: melding sound (here: dialogue) from the show with the music track of a vid. It's done exceptionally well here, making good use of a quiet moment in the song.

wormholes, john
