Score One For Society Going to Hell
The people who work at EBX are assholes. Except for the older woman there, she and I are tight. We talk about Harvest Moon. But the rest, and the company in general = assholes. There's a barbie-girl there, who you can tell does not belong working in a videogame store, and who didn't know what I was talking about when I asked her a very easy question. I went over there on my break to ask if they had and used xboxes because i'll begrudgingly get one for Halo 2 (I got my $5 credit transferred from Software Etc. to the one in Davis while I was up there. Taking care of the priorities.) and this guy said yeah, they had some, and I asked about the warrentee info on them and he said it was 14 days from the store. I mentioned that Software Etc. some 50 yards away had a 90 day warantee from them, and from Microsoft. The employee glibly told me "that's why we make more money"
No fuckhead, that's called screwing your customers. That's why Software Etc. has loyal patrons, employees that know what the hell they're talking about when I ask for a goddamn S-Video cable, and aren't balding 40 year old white men who work in a videogame store even though they hate kids. MAYBE, just maybe, the reason Software Etc. was out of used xboxes was because people bought them because the store is reasonable, they treat people civily, and in return, people want to do business with them.
So I'm going probably write a letter to try and get him in trouble with management, but it won't do anything because the higher up you are, the greater your asshole-aura. Again, that's why the lady is cool.
