what if I were "it"?
I just finished reading "A child called IT" by Dave Pelzer. My eyes were wet the whole time I was reading it (well, not really but almost, haha). It's a true story, the author writes about his experiences as an abused child when he was young. It was a unbelievably HORRIBLE!!! His alcoholic MOTHER would beat him until he was black and blue, burn him, and poison him. I hate the fact that his father was aware of the abuse but never cared to rescue him...it's also weird cos he had other brothers, but it was only him who was abused. After several years he was rescued by his teachers so it had a happy ending. Well it just made me realize how blessed I am to have loving parents who brought me and my siblings up to be decent people.
