Today was the last day of Western's camp; camp was long, exhaustive, but worth it to see my friends and a couple new recruits. Corn and I certainly had a grand old time in our interp lab and really had to hold back some laughs. Last night we found a biology room with perfect acoustics and sang songs for an hour. Then Tyler came in and we had 3 part harmony. I loved performing duo with Ryan again one last time - the kids asked me to do the Lecter face all day. The week in Dallas was definitely amazing, and I am extremely grateful for the time I spent with friends that week too and, also, for talking to new people. I am so proud of the Sacred Heart kids. I saw some great performances from some familiar and not so familiar people, my favorite being "Clue." Lately I've been controlling the dairy intake - I took dairy digestive pills in Dallas but broke out in hives - and I really have had to use some willpower.
Tonight I eat Yuki with Nick and Ryan and tomorrow I spend a day driving to no specific destination, only to return home Sunday to attend a huge [Italian] family party on Monday. About 10 days will be divided between beach reading and writing and script searching and topic brainstorming and attempts to stuff and cram family bonding into very brief interactions. Sometimes I wish life would stop when I showed up at a certain place. It won't. And it's all too fast.
