How typical......several times over the last few days we have defrosted food for eating outside - either BBQ stuff or generally stuff that is easy to eat outside. But it has been consistently too cold to sit outside without huddling under the patio heater wrapped in thick sweaters!
Yesterday we defrosted a half leg of lamb to have a roast Sunday dinner and what happens - it is bright and sunny and generally very pleasant outside!!! But a roast dinner is not very suitable for eating outside. Last night tabatha_yeddap cooked a lovely meditterean chicken dish that would have been perfect for outside eating.
So now we either need to have the lamb tomorrow and cook something different - a BBQ perhaps - or else miss out on the nice weather......looks like it won't be lamb on the menu today then!!!
