fighter practice and winter is still here
I'm planning on heading to Washington, PA for the King's Crossing heavy fighter practice this Friday (at the Washington mall practice site), if anyone (such as rani23) is interested. I will bring my camera sos to get some pics, as well.
Oh, and I seemed to have forgotten it is winter, with all the 50 and 60 degree weather we had the last few weeks. Scraping frost off the car Tuesday morning was a reminder. And now the snow is back.
I went to the Strip District to check out the Pennsylvania Macaroni Co. Every single block the sidewalk was crowded with vendors hawking Steelers shirts, hats, Terrible Towels, etc etc. The entire place was crowded to boot, so it took a while to park, let along get anywhere. It started snowing while I was there - big heavy flakes. It came down heavier and heavier (and the wind picked up) until the snow made it hard to see more than a half a block. Hello, winter. Where ya been hidin'? On my way back so much snow was blowing around, swirling off the buildings, it caused a whiteout.
Strangely, by the time I creeped out of the Strip District, through Shadyside, and into Oakland, the snow had almost ceased. In Greenfield, there was no snow falling at all.
