Stillers
People in Pittsburgh are going Steelers crazy. At CVS some woman (in her Steelers jersey) was discussing her Stillers. Somehow, for some reason, I said, "I'm not a Steelers fan." The reaction I got was as if I had admitted to selling drugs to kids. Suddenly, I was the enemy invading her beloved country. She asked me what was wrong with me and said I should be beaten over the head. I responded by saying, "Don't worry, I'm not a Denver (Broncos) fan either." She yelled, "YOU ARE A DENVER FAN??!!" I said, "No. I said I am NOT a Denver fan. I am neutral." She apparently believed Dubya's, "You are either with us, or against us," should be applied to everything in life. So I decided to have a little fun. I made a little sign and stuck it on some random stuffed animal that got left at CVS. The sign says, "GO DENVER!!"
The whole day was like this, with rabid fans swooping in and buying up every kind of Steelers paraphernalia CVS had. One guy bought a sweatshirt ($24.99),a long-sleeved tshirt ($14.99) and a Terrible Towel ($6.99) after which he said, "I can't believe I just spent that much money on this stuff." Yet he walked out the door with it anyways. :P
