Time goes slowly when you're counting the days 'till Xmas...

Tomorrow is the 6th day of December, in other words, the Independence Day of Finland. This year it's Saturday, which sucks, 'cause usually it's one day out of school. We had an Independence Day celebration at school. Pretty basic: a speech (from a student, which was weird), some song and dance performances, and we finished the whole by singing the Finnish national anthem, called Maamme (= Our Country). After that followed the sheer chaos of trying to get your coat from the coat rack while 'bout 700 other people try to do same thing. Yeah.

But I survived, and here I am now, trying to think of something else to write about, other than my boring life. Nope, nothing, back to my life. :P

So, Christmas is coming. And we all know what that means; presents, cooking, cleaning, decorating, trying to hold it all together... aka a 'ole lotta stress. And this year I'm gonna get some presents for my friends too, in addition to already trying to find gifts for the family. And I'm on a budget here. ;)

I also have to find something to wear for my school traditional Christmas Ball (like the Yule Ball in HP, but it's held in a stinky gym, not the Great Hall), where each class performs a dance for the rest of the students. Meaning that the 7th graders do a dance, us 8th graders do a dance, and the 9th graders dance one. We (the 8th graders) are doing a dance called "spinning waltz", and it has pretty steps, it's just too slow and it's hard to keep at the same pace and not go faster than the music. :S But I think we have one dance lesson left, so I have time to practice.
