Just got back from Turkey dinner at Garnet's place and then clocked out. Marie, his wife, is a good cook. She always ends up making anything taste delicious. I'm seriously never making mashed potatoes without their skins again.
So if anyone's noticing the time of this update you're probably thinking "That sonnofabitch hasn't gone to bed yet".... actually, this isn't true. I have been having some tummy troubles, and for the past while I've been getting 4-5 hour spurts of sleep twice per day. As a result, I'm just awake now post sleep.
I also learned from yesterday morning that the Sat. morning cartoons I used to love that played when I woke early as a kid (with a bowl of cereal on my lap and pj pants on), no longer play. Instead, it's mostly morning AM news shows. WTF is that?! I want to fill my head with anvils falling down! I want to see George hit a tree! I want hammerspace damnit!
*ahem*. In short, where the hell are the Pepper Ann's, the Recess', the Bugs Bunny and Tweety shows of today? I'm not asking for Venture Brothers or Undergrads... Heaven forbid a Daria. I just would like some decent cartoons to make me smile. Ever since Kim Possible went away Disney cartoons suck.
Got a new roomate, Corin, who as I am apparently not saying her name right, has been renamed "Scurvy". There's a story there involving a 6 am breakfast at the Husky, but it is long, drawn out and hilarious if you're sleep deprived and stealing maple syrup packets. She's semi obnoxious, and a little slow on the up take, but ok. Sarah, roomate #3 is currently in Stratford. Justin and Scurvy went to a Drag show tonight while I went to a wholesome family dinner. Yeah, yeah. Trust me, I get the joke.
Another odd note was that Garnet's wife went through my FB and noticed I smoke cigars. She was a little flabbergasted as, aside from thinking me a bit of a satyr, pretty much assumed I had no other bad habits to fill in the void. Damned D&D boys.
Anyways, I have lots of hw to do, and the first 2 seasons of Battlestar Galactica to watch and a pot of homemade soup waiting for me here, so I am gonna go eat. Be safe and comment frequently. Next post? Maybe I'll detail my current sex life. :P
