Jan already almost finished. wow
H is now 3 full months old. What a relief! She's doing super well, with us finally establishing a sense of routine. Thank the gods.
Turns out we're attachment parenting. Everything has a title these days. The end result is that i refuse to let my baby scream or cry if there's anything i can do about it. This basically means that we follow her schedule and she now mostly sleeps in our bed with us. We tried and tried and tried to get her to sleep in her crib. *sigh* that was a nightmare. Now that we sleep with her, she actually SLEEPS!! Yea!! And we went 48 hours without any significant screaming. Bliss....
Her major drawback at this point is that she is a mega-spewer. She chucks everywhere.... Heaps. She's even on baby reflux drugs, and she still spews everywhere. I'm washing upwards of 10-12 cloth diapers a day and she wears disposables.... Doc. isn't worried because shes putting on enough weight. She's 11.5 lbs. What a big girl.
Funniest thing though. She was born right as cricket season was starting on tele. So now if cricket is on, she'll watch it for ages!
How's me? Good mostly. Tired always. I'm blessed that last night i actually got 3 hours sleep in a row. Some nights it's as little as 1.5 hours at a time. Damn this breast feeding thing. If i didn't know how good it was for her, i'd be sharing this lovely midnight time with daddy.
We're trying to plan a trip to the peg in June/July. Yes, in time for me to go to folk fest.!!!! Hee Hee... *bouncing, claps hands* The only problem is how expensive it is to get there. We're looking at almost $6000 in plane fare alone. *sigh* So in reality it's a $8-10G trip. yykes. That's pain. But woz has yet to meet my extended fam or even to see winnipeg in the summer. I really want to make this happen. So that said, shall we meet at the Whales Tails? Say around 11? *grin*
I'm also trying to arrange care for possum for when i go back to school, next month!! My MIL is looking after her on Friday's, but i have to find 3 hours care on a Tues. Then i have to do the daycare wrangle for term 2 in July. it's a crazy challenge lemme tell you.
We had a week up at the cabin at Lakes Entrance last week. Really great to get away to somewhere different. Also good because it's right near where the bushfires are, so there were very few tourists. MIL's house and she rang the neighbours and got the all clear, so we went. It was beautiful and i even got some time in the surf and got to canoe for the first time in eons! So much fun.
Anyhoo, that's all i can think of at this point. Baby-wrangling takes up most of my time and it's getting bettert and better. H even laughed as i tickled her today, a first. So cool watching her grow. (thank goodness she's growing too. That less than 8 week baby thing is a killer)
Love y'all
