after reading tons of ppl's notes about their randoms and thinking what would i do if i get tagged coz i probably cant come up with 25 random things about myself (you're talking about miss uncreative-can't-think-of-stories-on-the-spot here!) i finally got tagged on facebook even though i was hoping not to hahaha! but then i was thinking about it last night (while procrastinating for acctg) and i figured i could probably throw some stuff out there and have about 25 things so here it goes!
25 random things about me...
Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.
1. effie and i were in alone in this motel in australia when we were young and there was this open balcony that leads to this park with ducks there so we decided to feed the ducks with bread and this big bunch of ducks started following us and chasing us into the hotel room. we got really freaked out and hid under the bed while they quacked and stormed around in our room. it was like the invasion of the ducks man...so freaky.
2. i used to be a super crazy sailor moon fan, i've watched every single episode out there and own all of them on tapes, vcds and dvds. i even used to have cards, stickers, models, houses i dunno everything u can think of for sailor moon. i also remember wishing that i could be 14 asap so i can know if i'm actually sailor venus and tried transforming once. it didnt work and i just blamed it on the fact that i wasnt 14 yet hahaha.
3. i actually always wanted a dog and not a cat when i was a kid. my parents promised effie and i one when we get into secondary school and that never happened...by a twist of fate i ended up taking care of eggie and i'm totally in love with cats now and dont think i'll ever get a dog.
4. i'm allergic to eggie though because i used to sleep with her all the time and she would curl herself around my head. i probably inhaled too much fur then.
5. effie and i have never gotten into a fight before...ever in our lives. minor complains about each other maybe but probably not even an arguement, which is weird coz i hear about sisters fighting all the time and i'm like, what's there to fight about...
6. i used to take ballet lessons when i was young and somehow i remember quitting coz they wouldnt give me a tutu. and then i realized that my parents were the ones responsible for buying it and they could've just bought me one and i wouldnt have quitted -.-
7. i think i'm kinda like an all-rounder who doesnt really excel in anything in particular. i pick up things really fast so people think i'm good at it, then i stagnate and remain at that level where you're like better than most people but not like super good.
8. when i was around 10ish-12, i went through this tomboy phase where i absolutely refused to wear skirts or be girly in any way, which was an exact opposite of me before that and i used to wear frilly dresses ALL the time. but then i secretly still wanted ppl to say that i was cute even though i acted like a boy.
9. i liked guys since i was 8 and everytime i liked a guy, he would either migrate to a different country or move to a different church. it was like some kind of curse and i got really upset over that so after like the 3rd guy i promised myself i'll never like a guy again hahaha
10. i have a baby pillow that i have to sleep with or else i wouldnt be able to fall asleep. my grandmother sewed this pillow for me when i was a baby and i called this pillow my "ma-ma" (meaning grandma in cantonese)
11. apparently my family had a baby chick for a pet when i was like 2ish. it grew up into a chicken and my grandmother cooked it.
12. i used to be a bully when i was 6. i made my best friend give me her lunch money everyday so i can go buy food. i think her parents found out eventually and told the teacher who told my parents and they were like, but you said you didnt need pocket money thats why we never gave you any...(which is true coz i had my friend LOL)
13. i also went through a phase when i was 10 when i thought that i was adopted because i felt like my parents loved effie more than me and that they thought that she was the cute happy one while i was like gloomy and depressing and sad all the time. i would purposely tag along far behind my family and think that they wouldnt even notice if i was gone. thankfully i got over that @.@
14. i'm a really really messy person and my room and desk is never clean for over a day, so i dont see the point in cleaning but then effie gets tired of stepping over my clothes all the time so i'll still do it.
15. but i'm also really picky about being organized and consistent in terms of music and photos in my computer. i would rename every single file and put them under folders that were named in the same manner. i spend lots of time making my itunes look super neat and i would look up the album covers for all the songs that i download.
16. the best times of my life was when i was in sec 3-4 in singapore and when i was in japan both times. most of the friends that i made during those periods are the ones that i consider my friends for life.
17. i'm REALLY bad at keeping in touch and writing emails and msgs to people. i take forever to reply them even though i check my email and fb like a gazillion times per day.
18. i secretly want to be a famous singer (partly coz sailor venus wanted to be a famous singer too!) and i still dream of going to japan and making it big over there even though i havent been scouted...YET hahahaha.
19. i think my mother tongue is probably singlish but somehow i'm not able to speak it outside of singapore, even to a singaporean in canada...unless i'm literally standing on singapore ground.
20. when i was 2 and my mom was pregnant with effie, my house got broken into and these two burglars tied my mom up with ropes and threatened her with knives and stuff. one of them thought i was a boy and asked me where our money was but i didnt reply him (thank God i was cute and he didnt do anything crazy to me!) miraculously this music box upstairs started playing and the burglars thought that someone was coming home so they left...it was like a total God thing!
21. i didnt know that the owner of the store that i'm working at was this guy that my co-workers always called when they had trouble and i always thought that he was just the technician so i was surprised when i saw that he gave all of us presents for christmas and i was like, wow thats one nice tech guy!
22. i'm a very relations-oriented person and people and friendships mean alot to me. i used to value myself in terms of how others view me and how much they like me but i'm slowly learning to see my value in Jesus and not other material things.
23. my main staple for food when i was in japan was udon, sandwiches and curry. besides that i never made anything else. otherwise i would eat out or buy bentos.
24. i have a bad habit of doing the dr. evil on my lips...
