Pride Parade.

Went to the Pride Parade today. Woke up at 5:30, after spending a lovely night with Tyler and Luke, and Ashley for a bit of the time as well. Woke up, drove to Gresham to pick Marlena up, and off we went to the station. Yay. Oh shit, wrong station it appears. But we all ended up in Pioneer Square, regardless. I really liked all of Marlena's friends, they seemed cool. We all got lots of strange looks and stares, and many took pictures. But when we went to where we were supposed to be stationed for the parade, we were the most normal ones out of the whole deal. It was interesting, even though I was the only one from Sandy in the group, and for the most part, probably the whole damn parade. But when us high schoolers started our thing, I've never heard more applause out of people. Two miles, people piled all over the sides of the roads and a great majority of them had smiles, and the rest clapped. Not for us, for the ideal that at that time, we stood for. I'm open to anything new in my world, and it seems for once others were too. I enjoyed myself. I didn't feel out of place at all, not being gay and all, but it was an experience. And hey, have as many as you can before you die. Because that's all you get, so make it good. Today was a happy day, the world is still somewhat misted over with hope.

Seeing that 68 year old drag queen in high heels... oh man... that made my freggin' day. That, and the freshman/sophomore girl who wanted my photo.

The world is meant to be seen, in all colors of the rainbow. Lata'.
