I did some writing today.
I've been writing a story for four years.
you read that right. I've only recently been able to make anything resembling a plot advancement though. Scotch helps.
I took a drive to Jackson last night, which is 90 miles away, to trade in my rental car for a new one. it was the greatest drive because I was listening to music and daydreaming about what I was going to write and how to advance the plot. every now and then I would get a really great idea and make a voice memo on my iPhone. I checked my phone today before I started writing and I had 8 evenly-spaced voice memos, haha, each about a minute long. it was awesome. I played them back and took notes on them and I was like "wow, that IS a great idea!" because by then I'd totally forgotten them ;)
today I realized that writing makes me truly happy. no wonder I've been coming back here for so long.
