Someone please explain to me how the American justice system works. I am American...lived there for nearly 30 years...and I have never understood it and never will.
I understand laws.
I understand that if you break laws, you should be penalized.
I don't understand how you can kill your child and be found not guilty. I do understand the "reasonable doubt" angle, but they used that for OJ too. I don't trust reasonable doubt.
I don't trust the American (In)Justice system because it's failed far too many times.
I don't understand how you can lie to investigators about the death of your child and ALL evidence points to you and you STILL avoid the death penalty.
I'm thoroughly disgusted with the entire case. This child received no justice...she'll have no childhood, no adulthood, nothing...because of her mother.
Where is the justice in that?
Another FAIL. There are too many to count now. :(
And please don't give me any sanctimonious shit about how she didn't get off because she has to live with the outcome and will be able to have no life or whatever because her name is tainted.
Because that's absolute bullshit. She'll get a name change and be put into protective custody...if she lives out her jail time.
Prisoners tend to take care of those who kill children.
