“Today, the US will make history. Either we will have a ‘black’ president, or we’ll have a woman vice-president.”
*Coughs* BS
First I must add, race and sexuality wouldn't be an issue if folks wouldn't make it one.
Either we’ll have a new president, or a president who has successfully won a third term. Or worse, he’ll die a year later and leave us with someone who has “Never Been Tested.” Someone who hasn’t set foot out of Alaska until she was chosen as VP.
History…
History happens daily. Yesterday was History. I’d like to point out a few other things that made history that folks seem to have forgotten already.
1) A father and a son, made president.
2) If Al Gore has taught us nothing, he has shown us that popular vote doesn’t count. (I think I lost all hope of the system when that one happened.)
3) History truly is this: We are still our own. I think its mind blowing that we haven’t gone back to our respective countries of origin and said, Ok, my bad. We’ll go back under your rule now.
*shakes head*
What pisses me off is we can’t even write in who we want anymore. Remember when you could write in whoever you wanted? No more. Doesn’t really matter anyway. We (as American’s) all know we’ll either get “A or a”. Same thing, just a tiny difference.
Have you noticed this year that the Republicans have ad stickers that are Blue? I thought they were always Red and Demos were Blue. WTF?
So I guess we'll know by January won't we?
