Mean people suck, and other stuff you may not know.

Indy is only 3 days away!!!! Thank the gods above I get paid on tuesday. (You will be hearing a lot more of this in the coming years BTW) We found another home in the area, and are going for it. ~shudders~ This is a big step. I hope it's not one into a deep dark hole. (Or rather for me, a bright sun, shiny dumping ground littered with plastic bottles. {my own personal hell})

Ok, so back to the mean people:
1. We all know that Steven King sucks. But we were looking for a movie to distract us from life for awhile. We rented The Myst over the weekend. Now Frosty and I have issues with any movie that dicks with the parent child relationship. But King takes it to a new level of butt-holeness in this flick. The movie it's self was ok, it has been a good long while since a movie gave me the heebie-geebies, But I'll give you a hint any show at all that involves spiders or ticks in mass will wig me out. This movie was kind of just a horrified "Evolution". But what cheeses me off about it, what makes me say that Mr. King sucks is the ending. If you chose to watch this movie. Do yourself a favor and shot it off when they get in his truck and leave. I don't want to give it away for those of you who haven't seen it already, but Steven King sucks ass when he made the father do that. He sucks donkey ass during a bowel movement when he illustrates that it all could have been avoided if he had helped a lady in the beginning. putz.

2. Realtors, sellers, loan lenders, and the market in general all suck. I should really have to explain this one too much. So we find a home in the area. It's too much for me, makes me uncomfortable, but we go for it anyway. I make an offer of about 10 less the asking cost. my realtor says a snide remark about them either rejecting this offer or countering. I knew this, he didn't have to make me feel bad about it. I had hoped of course, but what I really wanted out of the offer was a counter with them coming back with something like, "if ya pay what we ask we will pay the closing" type thing. So we go through the process. Each time our realtor says something to make me feel bad about it, "Oh I think if you do that you'll just make them mad." Tough poo. Really, these people are making lots of money off of us. The market is flooded with homes, if we can't all agree we can just keep looking right? Bastard. Bas Turd.

3. We all know why they suck. It's fast unhealty food. but taking the fact that it's all fried for a moment, we trust these folks to wash their hands, to keep food in the frig, to throw away stuff that's too old. Did you know that the whole state of Colorado has NO licensed food inspectors?! Ok, I got sick over the weekend on Burger King. Could have been a lot of things. I have been eating well, and my body was not prepared to take all that again. But I'm pretty sure it was just food poising. Not fun, getting up in the am and having stuff from both ends. TMI I know, but I had to say it. I was latched onto by the bullwhip of Indy, thinking I would let loose, and paid the price. What's worse is I have 3 tickets with won food items. They never give money... I won't go there again. Not to eat anyway. ~shudders~ Bad bad memories. If I ever get the urge again I'll just call up those memories.

I had more, but I am feeling better after venting a little.

So yes, we are in the works for our own home. Today I need to call for a home inspector, go back and see the man about signing a new check, and Frosty needs to get his background check for EMT. Things are going to be REAL tight until Frosty get a job. But that's saying something that I can do it all on just what I get paid. I hope the pressure doesn't kill me first.
So the home is in Little, but not really. It's in Roxborough Colorado. On the cusp of a state park. it's about 1100 square feet. With a big backyard. We have gotten the seller to pay all the closing costs, and put on a new roof. They are leaving behind all stainless steel goodies in the kitchen, and i think the washer and dryer as well. It's a honey of a deal but I'm looking at a payment of $1400.00 for the next 30 years. I think we can swing it. I know I better be dammed sure I can. And I can but we won't be able to do anything but breath and eat for the next few years. No more theme parks, travel, summer movies, or fairs. Well maybe a few summer movies. Indy and Hellboy2. And maybe the Ren Fair if Frosty gets a job there (he applied). But that's that. The only real thing that needs to be done is outside paint. and maybe a fence fix-up. (pictures to come later)

I have been watching the Sci-Fi channel all weekend. It's been a Indy wet dream. They concluded things with a special about the crystal skulls. The Mayan end of days seemed so far away when I first heard of it back in 1996. But 2012 is not that far away now. Of course all religious fractions have there version. But I tend to actually think about the logic of the Mayan mythos found here . (Since I am part Cherokee, and follow the Egyptian gods... it;s kind a double "listen to me." There is a gem and mineral shop here that sales small crystal skulls. They are not crystal, but a gemstone of a sort. I'll find out when I get them. (I have one but I would like to get two more) After watching the show last night I want to go and get a few for talismans. Not that they will do anything, but they will make me feel better and that's the point right?
