Why are they laughing?
I’m back! The Internet installation guys were really nice. They drank two cups of tea a piece, worked for four hours, and now we have new shiny Internet and about a million more channels on the TV. Including Discovery and BBC America! YAY!
…But I’m still gonna watch mostly DVDs. Because no commercials.
Last night Dad and I watched Pixar’s “Up”. The commercials led me to believe this would be a comparatively dull movie, but I decided to take a gamble on Pizar - and wow. It’s actually a fun, funny, and touching film. The montage at the beginning takes ‘show, don’t tell’ to an impressive level. And there are balloons! Wheee! And a Kevin! I want a Kevin! And there’s one entire scene where I have absolutely no idea what happened because I was laughing so hard (although it may have been partly the company). So, erm …Squirrel!
