Thunder and Ice

It hasn’t been going well. Last Quarter I was tired all the time and distracted/apathetic for most of it. As a result my performance was terrible. The mess I submitted for Aristotle has turned up 3.2 on a scale of 3.0 - 4.0, and I don’t expect to do any better on the other papers. I’ve never failed through lack of effort before. What the hell is wrong with me? Have a Counseling appointment tomorrow to discuss it.

Meanwhile, that was Spring break. Yes, all of it. Blink and you missed it. But I did manage to have a good time. I Roamed many book stores and bought many books, including some much-needed new blood for my poetry shelves. I saw my family, and today I had a Roam on my own, which was also much overdue. I went to the Space Needle and just wandered around. Sat in the sun by the manicured gardens, watched the fountains dance and paint rainbows in the air. Watched the colored lights spin on the old fashioned carousel and went for a spin on the roller coaster. Shunted through the Sci Fi museum. (How can they be so deficient in Dr Who memorabilia when they have everything else?) Went to the shopping centre, ate plastic fried rice, browsed the smooth glass surfaces of shops and customers. Got caught in a thunderstorm that brought snow and ice instead of rain. In retrospect, it’s kind of cool - how often do you get snow and thunder while huddling near a giant electric blamange (AKA the Experience Music Project)? At the time, well, it was just cold.
