I LIKE IT VEEEERY MUCH. Also I'm just going to warn for spoilers for the end of the original Fatal Frame in here.
But I feel like I'm going to finish it really soon aaaaack. D: I don't wanna rush through it. But at the same time, I want to keep playing. A TENUOUS BALANCE. Well, I need to beat it eventually, so I guess I shouldn't hold back. Hurrr. I'm already on Chapter XI, though.
Miku runs oddly and it makes me laugh. It's weird how they're pushing her character as both the tiny, cute and vulnerable young woman and the strong female lead (well, not the lead, per se) at the same time. I guess that's why she's cool. :D?
Although Mafuyu is my favorite character (and Sae, but I'm not holding out for her making an appearance in this game, lulz ), I find myself more worried about Mio so far. Probably because I know she survived her game, whereas I'm pretty sure Mafs is either smooshed under a ton of rubble or chilling as a spirit with Kirie. Speaking of which, where is Kirie? She was cool. Awww Kirie come back.
I like Kei's voice. It's kind of like Walter's in the sense that I could listen to him talk for a while. NARRATE THE GAME PLEASE. Apparently he's going to come visit Rei's massivo house to pay respects to Yuu. YAY THEN WE CAN HAVE A PARTYYYYY not.
The hauntings in Rei's house (I'm just calling them that because of SH4 and lack of a better term) are probably the freakiest part in the game. Not as scary as SH4's, though, since you don't need to face them. I've been uh avoiding them mostly hahaha. GO AWAY YOSHINO AND NEEDLEWOMAN YOU DON'T LIVE HERE
I'm supposed to be putting the Mirror of Loss into this pedestal in the big shrine in Evil Rift Land. But I have the mirror and I'm standing at the shrine and Miku refuses to do it. WTH MIKU WORK WITH ME. I looked it up on gamefacks and they say that you're supposed to fight that old hand lady first, which I haven't. I must've missed something. Arrgh. D:
This game has a lot of buttshot angles. A lot. I find myself going "...booty." randomly during the game pretty often. Heh heh heh. Cue Groove 2001.
Here's a visual aid for my first impressions of the game on the night I got it.
