Thanksgiving Recap

Nov 26, 2011 16:38

Thanksgiving was a few days ago, and this year I tried to go into it with some sort of a game plan so that I didn't completely go overboard. WELL... that did't quite happen.

Every year, myself and Annie go to 3 separate Thanksgiving celebrations, the first at my Grandparents, the second is usually at one of my wife's aunt's/uncle's houses, and the third is at my aunt's place. And try as I might, there was just too much good food and not enough tummy space for it all to go around. I ended up with a very epic food coma by the time everything was done.

I spent Black Friday at home, since there is no way that I will ever venture out in to another Black Friday again after I did one about 6 years ago. And with people as crazy as they have been lately, I'd rather not put myself into another situation like that again, even if it means saving several hundred dollars on something that I'd probably use and enjoy.

Anywho, this weekend has really been a time to reflect, recharge, and prepare for the coming weeks ahead. next weekend is reserved for my birthday. I plan on having a little party here at the house, and probably some other kind of awesome festivities over the weekend. The weekend after that I'll be in San Diego with Annie, basically to escape, and have a weekend to ourselves (since we didn't do our normal semi-annual Vegas trip). And the weekend after that, we're going to AZ to visit some of our friends out there. The next weekend is Christmas, the next weekend is New Years, and then there's one last week of nothing until the following week, which is FC!

Speaking of which, I still haven't registered for FC, but I plan on doing so after I get paid next week. I am VERY excited for FC this year, mainly because my small circle of friends has really grown, and now I have different groups to hang out with and get in to shenanigans with. I'm really looking forward to stepping out of my box and really going a bit wild this year. Everyone needs a moment to release, right?

Oh well, I'm getting a bit a head of myself for future events. Just thought I'd start updating on a more regular basis now, hm?
