Boo!
Today was a horrible, no-good, very bad day. First of all, I had a job interview, which is just never fun. And I had to wear shoes and they hurt my feet. And the interviewer made me wait for forty minutes and I was nervous and hungry and I got rained on and all my hair frizzled out of its braid, and it takes me ages just to persuade my hair into an approximation of braidosity and then the stupid weather had to go and ruin all my hard work and it was a really nice braid too, and in the end I got turned down for a job as a telemarketer and what kind of idiot is such a failure as a human being that even the goddamn telemarketers don't want them?
And to add insult to... well, insult, on my way home to lick my wounds, I got attacked by a Ninja Period, the kind that sneaks up on you unawares and nails you with the Throwing Stars of Cramping, beats you with the Numchucks of Uncontrollable Food Cravings and delivers the killing-blow of Oh Shit Oh Shit I Have No Change For The Tampon Machine.
And to top it off, Amazon still hasn't delivered my damn POTO dvd. However, since I own the soundtrack and given that there's so little spoken dialogue in it anyway, I'm tempted to just put on a different Gerard Butler film, hit mute and play the soundtrack in the background. I'm thinking Reign of Fire, just because Phantom + dragons seems an exciting mix. I can picture it now; Raoul and Christine exchanging declarations of love atop the Opera House, when suddenly a huge dragon swoops down and bites Raouls head off. Christine screams and cries while Gerard Butler and Christian Bale kiss passionately in the foreground. Yup. That would rock.
