Summary: Buffy and Dawn Summers go to Forks, Washington when Seers in a coven in England sense high supernatural activity there. Buffy discovers wolf shapeshifters and an entirely new breed of vampires that have superpowers.
While getting to know them and the human girlfriend of one of the vampires, nomad vampires come along and are determined to kill Bella. Buffy is set on protecting Bella, both from the ravenous vampires and from the mistake of falling in love with Edward.
Protecting Bella is harder than she thought it would be, especially when her deal with the Volturi vampires comes out in the open. They find out about Bella and give the ultimatum-either she is turned into a vampire or she must be killed, and Buffy has to be the executioner.
