Busy season
Work is insanely busy, but surprisingly I feel okay about it all. A manager and a senior who are on two of my biggest clients are both leaving the firm in the month of January. It's an opportunity for me to step up. After an initial week of sheer panic, I feel like I'm starting to take to my new role.
It's a pleasant surprise to get out of work before 7 pm these days. I've psychologically prepared myself for the worst this busy season, so I'm able to stay quite positive when things don't pan out as disastrously as I anticipate. I'm even managing to see Tyler once in a while during the work week. A far cry from the weekend relationship I was expecting back in December, as we looked out at the prospect of busy season.
I'm excited to see Figaro this weekend. An excuse to get a little bit dolled up and take in a new experience!
