Dear Yuletide Writer
First, THANK YOU! I hope that whatever we matched on was something you were excited about writing. I'm pretty easy to please, and I'm sure I'll LOVE whatever you write. In general, I love future-fic, happy endings, fake-dating turning into real-dating, hating-someone-until-you-realize-you-actually-love-them. I'd rather read a story about a couple getting together than an established relationship. I'd prefer not to have to read character deaths or unnecessary angst that really doesn't drive the plot. I'm fine with any rating that you're comfortable writing, although most of the stories I read typically are rated Teen and above. Anything is fine, though.
Request #1: Sweet Valley High (Senior Year) - Francine Pascal; Elizabeth Wakefield/Conner McDermott
Basically, I feel like the biggest geek for being 23 and still completely LOVING a couple that I read about when I was 12. BUT WHATEVS. I LOVE stories where characters who were previously involved randomly run into each other a few years later somewhere unexpected and reconnect. Ultimately, that would be what I'd most want to see happen with Liz and Conner. I don't mind angst, as long as its warranted and resolved at the end.
Want: Happy ending. (Although I think there's a fine line between "happy" and "sappy.")
Don't Want: I'll pretty much be THRILLED if I get anything at all about this couple.
Request #2: Jessica Darling Series - Megan McCafferty; Jessica Darling/Marcus Flutie
I've been in love with this series of books and this couple since Sloppy Firsts, but honestly, I wasn't in love with Perfect Fifths. Want to change that for me? Similar to my first request, I'd love accidental meeting, just maybe not at an airport.
Want: Awesome Jessica and Marcus dialogue.
Don't Want: Barry Manilow. I am not a Fanilow.
Request #3: Cougar Town; Travis Cobb/Laurie Keller
Honestly, I kind of 'ship everyone with everyone on this show, but I adore the idea of Travis and Laurie together in the future. I think they're really similar in a lot of ways and I love that Travis ages down the group for Laurie and vice versa. I'd love to read something where these two slowly start to notice the other in a more-than-friendly light. I love text-messages/emails as interaction in fic, and I'd love to see a relationship start between them at a time when they're both not so dependent on Jules, so that she wouldn't be a huge issue.
Want: Sarcasm, snark, maybe one of them freaking out about the age difference/history etc. at first.
Don't Want: Jules being neurotic, basically. Anything else is amazing.
Request #4: Clueless (Movie, 1995); Cher Horowitz/Josh Lucas
I love these two together. Admittedly, that might have something to do with my ridiculous crush on Paul Rudd's face and Alicia Silverstone's hair, but eh. I love Josh sticking up for Cher and seeming just as enamored with her as she is with him. Anything between these two would be great, and honestly I don't have any specific ideas of what I'd really most want to read. Something domestic could be cute with them, moving in together, their first real date, telling Mel... anything, really.
Want: Happy ending. And, Paul Rudd. (No, really. I want him for Yuletide. Deal?)
Don't Want: I'd read anything with these two, really.
