People who like Jeni's Ice Cream make me sad.
Specifically my friends who like Jeni's.
Yes it is delicious, yes the flavours are freaking amazing, and yes it may very well be the best ice cream in the world (well, if you haven't been to get Berthillon ice cream on the Île St Louis in Paris)... but I have a life long injury due to their negligence... and I believe in solidarity and supporting your friends in extreme cases such as that. Not to mention countless other former co-workers of mine who came away from their time at Jeni's with tendonitis in one or both wrists, carpal tunnel syndrome in one or both wrists, ripped pectoral muscles, or 3 ribs popped out of a rib cage.
You know, just normal everyday ice cream scooping injuries... except not! I'd go into the details of the difference between Jeni's and other ice creams and why, at normal ice cream temperatures Jeni's is much harder... but the details aren't really important.
It makes me sad and angry, and hurt, when dear old social media displays for me the fact that my friends still patronise Jeni's... as if a pain that is with me daily never crosses their minds. But of course it wouldn't, this is me being a bit selfish. Or expecting too much loyalty, I'd say.
