I've found some close-up details of a 15C linen surplice (the garment Claude throws on over his nightshirt in the Porte Rouge scene). It's from Jean Fouquet's Pietà at Nouans, worn by a canon who is probably called Jacques, as Saint James appears to be behind him as his name-saint:

It's a pity we never really get a description of Claude at Mass - because surviving examples of 15C vestments are stunning.
The Whalley Abbey vestments, in Towneley Hall Museum, Burnley (possibly visitable for you, aleksdesilesia?), and the Burrell Collection in Glasgow, are superb:

Check out the 15C brocade cope worn by the bishop-saint on the left of this van Eyck altarpiece. Without the mitre, it's the sort of thing Claude would have worn on feast-days in religious processions. He would be wearing a black or purple (funereal) cope when Esméralda does penance at the cathedral door.
