Claude, dear heart, we've been telling you this for years. Just because Esméralda calls you "old and ugly", it doesn't mean it's true… Tall, dark and smouldering-eyed…? Ahem!

Well, he needs his self-confidence boosting, poor boy! Given his problems in terms of accepting his physicality and his history of self-harming, I think he'd need assuring that he's an attractive young man. Just because one girl doesn't fancy him, it doesn't mean he's not. It just means she's got no taste. She prefers Phœbus, FFS!
The cassock that doubles as a lab coat doesn't help, mind: even by 15C standards, you'd be able to smell Claude before he came in sight, because he works with things like sulphur… He'd smell like stink-bombs. Mind, he'd scrub up beautifully for Mass. I bet he looks glorious in full Mass vestments on feast days.
