OK, so it's been a while!!
Wow, January already! Time flies when you work your ass off......and have fun!!
Well, to update anyone who cares the last few months have been pretty good. Bryan and I finally finished our apartment, which looks pretty scrumtrelescent!
My family had a hugs toga party for my grandmothers 87th B-day. My big brother and family even flew in for it. I made my little brother a gladiator skirt, I went as a slave girl, and Bryan introduced himself to the rest of my clan dressed as Jesus (he looked the part with his long hair and beard).
I'm still in the Cole Lab, and am progressing through my Ph.D
My big brother and family moved from Baltimore to McKinney Texas (outside of Dallas) for business purposes. They sold their beautiful cabin in the mountains, and built a monstous house (over 3500 sq ft) with two stories, 5 bed/4 bath, and a pool in back.
The kids seem to love it! My mom, Joe and I went there to visit right after Christmas for a few days. It's a part of Texas that to me looks like a hybrid of Northern temperate zone and Southwest Florida lifestyle (Punta Gorda was my primary comparison)
We went and saw the Dallas aquarium, and also downtown where all the antique shops are.
It was pretty cool.
I finally got an Ipod for Christmas, it's the product red 8 GB nano. Now I just have to figure out all the little tricks to it. All the members of my family gave me a little accessory for it, so I have nice earphones, a sumo carrying case, and the thingy that sends the music to your radio.
Right now I'm looking forward to the cons. I want to finish my Betty Page "don't tread on me" replica outfit, and The Tick outfit for Joe.
