Hooray for finally celebrating our anniversary

Matt and I finally celebrated our one year anniversary 2.5 weeks late. We spent the weekend in Indy at the Crown Plaza Hotel. We ate out and just enjoyed not having anything we had to do. We did enjoy seeing the Washington Hatchets become 3A state champions, though! It was nice to just relax and hang out together. We also got to see family on Sunday for Easter which was nice.

Matt surprised me by getting us a Nintendo Wii for our anniversary. How cool of an anniversary gift is that?! We have Guitar Hero as his requested game and Dance Dance Revolution as mine. DDR is so much fun even though I need to practice quite a bit!

This week is spring break for the Washington school system, so I am enjoying not having my internship. I needed a break. I truly did. Plus, I can practice my DDR moves now. Granted, I do have my USI classes this week, so I don’t feel free to do absolutely nothing. Also, my in-laws are visiting other kids, so we have the house to ourselves. I mean we are all getting along fine (or at least we are as far as I know) but it’s still nice to have a break from each other, you know?

I hit the half way point with my internship. I have 320 internship hours on my journey toward 600. It will be close, but I’m going to keep at it. It’s been very rewarding, humbling, contemplatative, etc. I’m still enjoying it despite some frustrations.

I am finally healthy again too. Thank goodness. There was about a 3 week stretch there that SUCKED. It is not cool to recover from the stomach flu only to get the respitory flu complete with fever.

I am so ready for spring weather. Won’t it hurry up already?
