PRIDE MARCH, Philippines: You're Invited!
Oh my. It's that time of the year!
March for diversity, tolerance and acceptance, people! March for all queerdom! (which includes anybody as weird as or even weirder than myself!)
As you probably know, this queen is particularly interested in seeing as many friendly faces at Pride March this year as any other year because it is also the first year she is with a significant other. And thus, is more of less out of the closet (with a toe or two in for the parental units).
I highly encourage all the straight and not-so-straight people to go!
That said, Rainbow Rights Project, Inc. is trying to bring together the largest contingent at Pride. The L Word Manila Meetup Group will be marching with them, as will Lunduyan ng Sining and Radar Pridewear. For myself, I'll be marshaling this march on my bike as part of a contingent of volunteers. I assure you that you'll be in great company if you do decide to go! Gay or straight, confused or unwilling to be labeled, Pride March is the place to be on Saturday! See you there!
