I didn't take time to write about my last couple days in Hawaii. The biggest things that happened were that we relaxed some more, saw the Molokai Coffee plantation and a macademia nut orchard, where I found mosquitoes are in abundance. This morning we drove up the east coast again to get to the meeting point for the tour to the falls. It was really pretty and also quite twisty turny, once again. We didn’t stop anywhere along the way this time because we didn’t want to be late.

Today we rested until late in the morning, actually until early afternoon. We played cards and then talked to a TAN representative who did a brief survey with us. It was interesting to talk to him because his family is from this island. I get the impression he is wealthy and that maybe most of the people from here are wealthy?

Today we went to the western side of the island of Molokai. We were there to watch the sun rise and we took pictures of the beach. It was absolutely beautiful and we were unable to resist wading in the ocean as well. We soon discovered that you don’t wade at Pakohaku Beach without being prepare to get wet. This morning, my husband woke up early enough to walk around outside and watch the sun rise. I was still sleepy. One thing I noticed is that there are a lot of roosters on this island and they start to crow well before sunrise.
