Hi, Juliana! This was a sweet fic. I have to admit, though, that Chapter 3 is my favorite. There can never be too much happy hobbit sex for me! Cheers, and congratulations on posting!
You know... it's odd. I posted my story on my LJ first, and left it there for close to 2 weeks. I did that because I was hoping to get a general idea of what people thought of it before I actually put it out to the wider audience at MEN. I also broke it down into five parts thinking it would make for easier reading, and I also put all five parts up at the same time. My reason for that was to show that even though it was in parts, it was a complete story and not a WIP -- I think there are many who tend to shy from a WIP.
To be truly honest though, I really didn't expect a lot to read it -- since I am basically a newcomber and unknown. Though I was hoping maybe a handful or so might. I guess I think people think like me. I will give any story a chance if it's about Frodo and Sam. *grin* Ok, well, so maybe - Merry and Pippin - lover's won't want to read. *hehe

I am one of those shyer-away-from-WIPers that you mentioned
That is hilarious, given that you write them. : )
God, I wish I could do what you do and just put them aside until they're finished. There is one in particular that I started some time ago and, at the time, I didn't know it was a WIP. I don't think I even new what a WIP was. I was just new to this community and reading anything and everything. Well... now I'm hooked on this story. The chapters don't come out very often and the waiting is absolutely killing me. Ah, well, what can you do?
I'm almost afraid to ask, and no doubt I'll be showing my ignorance, but what is (<3s LJ!)???
But I also like to have the whole story visualized before I post, and preferably drafted.Wow -- That's amazing! I think I had the very first line in my story and I had already visualized the intimate scenes in Chap 2 and Chap 3 *blushes*, but that was it. I built my story from there. Kind of working backwards, really, I guess you could say. Or from the inside out, more like

Sorry about the delay! I have to oozle out my computer time sparingly.
Yes, more "Devoted" is coming! I blew off work to work up some new scenes. I'm poorer but happier by far. It still needs to be beta'd, though.
If only someone could invent some sort of gizmo that could record your thoughts while you are asleep and convert and save them into a Word document
You mean you don't have one of these? *boggles * taps microchip implanted at the base of my brain*
what is (<3s LJ!)???
<3 is supposed to be an emoticon of a heart. So it's, "I love LJ". /geek
My stories vary in the degree of visualization. For example, I decided for the good of the story, I would leap ahead two months. When I sat down to write, totally new scenes came from thin air. But as long as I'm marching towards my goal, I'm happy. The middle gets to move around as it needs to. The story is out there; I'm just typing it in. :)

Oh, thank you! Thank you ever so much for reading my story. I am quite honored.
And so glad you liked it.
I love your icon, too, btw! Goes quite well with that Chap 3 ; ), wouldn't you say?
