This particular scene is not a complete story, but more of an excerpt from a story that I CANNOT WAIT to read.  It's a Sazh/Jihl tale (and seriously, what could be cooler than that?  I love Sazh!)

Even though she's the villian with the smallest amount of screentime in game, she's the only one who caught my attention!

Agreed. She got a very raw deal. Half of me wonders if the developers just ran out of time/space in the game to develop her properly. Actually all the villains in this game were poorly developed as compared to other games. In the other Final Fantasy games, the villains were prominent characters. We spent a large chunk of time learning about the villains. This game sort of 'hand-waved' the villains' back stories away. Yaag and Jihl should have each had stories and big battles (minor boss fights). They were FFXIII's equivalent of the Turks and Hojo (FFVII), Seifer (FFVIII), and Dr. Cid (FFXII), and yet there was no delivery on their potential.

I guess the more intricate the graphics, the less time and space they have to delve into the actual story. *Sigh*
