X-Men!!!
I saw X-Men 3 tonight with my brother. EXCELLENT movie!!!! I'm definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD. I may even go see it in the theatre again. Good movie, and I heartily recommend it if you like the X-Men movies at all. This one was the best of the 3 so far, and left it wide open at the very end for another one. Yay!!! :-D
I really liked hanging out with my brother tonight. We had a lot of fun, and even managed to have a couple of relatively deep discussions. That's the thing about science fiction that most people tend not to get. Scifi (at least, the good stuff) often brings up social and moral questions and issues that would be uncomfortable or inappropriate to bring up in a normal situation. It gives you a common ground to spring from to discuss issues important to our own lives, and can often serve as metaphors or even mirrors of our own world. And it's damn fun to blow stuff up, too! (Which, I might add, they do quite a bit of in the X-Men movie!)
My new poll in honor of the X-Men movie:
*If you could have any X-Men superpower (or just generic power if you don't do the X-Men thing), which would it be and why?
Myself, I think I'd want telekinesis (moving things with my mind, in case you didn't know) because it'd be really convenient, I could still fit in pretty well, and it's just damn cool. :-)
