My Year in LJ

Dec 09, 2005 02:27

January: So, contrary to popular belief, I did NOT fall off the face of the earth!

February: Dang. So yeah, I felt like a complete loser this morning. At least I got a little extra sleep?

March: Ok, so I have a problem. More of an addiction really. As of this moment, I have 11 Dr.Pepper bottles, all either empty or mostly empty, sitting on my desk because I am too lazy to carry them down the hall to the recycle bin and throwing them away would make me feel guilty.

April: Seriously, I love reading quotes. And poetry.

May: The semester is almost over and I find I'm looking forward to it much more than I was last year.

June: I love Camp Sumatanga with all my heart. I just feel like it's a place where I can come and be myself and not be hesitant to ask the questions that I push away during the rest of the year.

July: I'm writing this from the Camp Sumatanga office since we have decided to ride out the storm here at camp. It was getting pretty interesting last night with all the rain and lightning and the creek close to flooding, but this morning we woke up to almost sunshine.

August: Hmm...let's see...went to York...LOVED YORK!!!

September: I want a direction. I want to know what I'm doing. I want to do something important, but at the same time, I don't want to do anything at all. I want to grow up, but I don't really ever want to feel grown up. I want to think people could be attracted to me. I want a relationship, but I'm not ready for one, and I know that. I want to change aspects of my personality. Sometimes I just want to live someone else's life, at least for a little while. I want to be outside. I want solitude, but I want to know that I have friends who understand that and will be waiting when I come back. I want to be content and at peace and happy, if not forever, then just for a little while.

October: FYI, I'm tired of being made fun of for my collection of plastic bottles in my room and in my car. Screw you! At least I make an attempt to recycle instead of tossing them in the trash!

November: For those of you who don't read Spanish, the subject says "I like Latin America...sometimes..."

December: As much as I hate winter, there are several things I enjoy about the season.

(By the way, this list was made by taking the first few lines...or paragraph in the case of September...from the first entry of every month. Give it a try!)
