I hope you will enjoy this. I took a trip out to Cumberland Island recently and saw this reproduction of a British Royal Marine hat. If I read their display correctly it's from around the time of the war of 1812.

An interesting post on textiles over at Word Wenches. Very timely for me, since fabrics of the early nineteenth century are something I've been doing a lot of thinking about/researching while writing Queen of Swords fic.
