I just need to vent about not being able to find a ffvii fic right now, okay?
It was a really sweet story that started out with Vincent being very badly injured and trapped, and Cid going in and taking care of him until the others could dig them properly out, and Vincent healing wrong because, frankly, they couldn't get him proper medical help while trapped so he now can't leave the bed and it's more comfortable and easier to breathe when he's got a person (Cid in this case, cause that's who he's living with now) propping him up.
Cid starts dating a younger woman, but he breaks it off when she talks about getting rid of Vincent - either to a home or to be taken care of by another of Cid's friends, who she also declares have to go - because she doesn't like the idea of their wedding being put off to pay for a surgery that will finally give Vincent his life back, etc, among other things.
ani_mama did a really really cute picture of Cid taking care of Vin in bed to go with this pic, and I can't find that pic either!
I'd also like to find the fic where Vincent is a native on an island where Cid gets washed up by a storm, and they live together in a cave learning how to communicate and a bunch of other stuff, and then Cid's crew comes for him to take him away and he nearly goes but decides he'd rather stay on the island with Vincent.
... I think they're by the same author, but I really have no idea. I just remember loving them. And yes I know how the stories go, and yes I have uni readings I should be reading rather than fanfic right now (and I am reading them! They're just... horrible stories that I'm not enjoying or very dull statistics stuffs), but it's been so long that the details are a bit fuzzy and any good story is worth reading more than just once (or even twice...^^)
