I've just received this from Dignity in Dying.
Dear Supporter
Last night BBC2 screened Choosing to die with Sir Terry Pratchett, which featured the assisted death of Peter Smedley at Dignitas in Switzerland.
If you watched the programme, please tell the BBC what you thought of it.
A number of groups opposed to assisted dying have been lobbying supporters to complain, accusing the coverage of being biased "propaganda". Discussion online last night suggests that the majority of viewers welcomed the programme as an important addition to the debate.
It is important that we highlight to the BBC that the majority of the public welcomed the documentary, so please add your comments to their online article about this.
Many thanks
Patrick
