The UK soap opera I watch, Emmerdale, has a storyline about old age and money trouble. In last night's episode we saw Edna reach crisis point, hungry and cold, ending up unconscious on her floor. I'm finding this story quite disturbing to watch.

A look at a 'spoiler' website tells us that Edna's not dead. Age UK takes this opportunity to offer advice about how not to end up like Edna.
