I know I just posted in my LJ that I didn't have anything, but something just came up here at work, so I have to do it.
In my email signature for the support email, I have the line "No HTML-based email, please."
This is because the mail reader in our call-tracking software cannot parse HTML code, nor can it remove the tags and whatnot.
Of course, this does not stop several of our best and brightest folks out there from sending email in HTML, full of tags so I can't read it. I have to take the extra time to copy the email, open up Frontpage, paste the text in there, and read it.
Mind you, this gets annoying. If a person slips up once, I'm forgiving. If he keeps sending it like that, even after repeated requests not to, that's when I get pissy.
So F-You, station engineers who can't read, whether it's a simple request about email formats or the G-D manual.
