Long Weekend Update

Oct 16, 2006 11:09

The weekend began excellently. I aced my Probability quiz (I'd never done that before); got back my Probability midterm (which was CONSIDERABLY lower than my quiz score, but that's okay because I can't do anything about it anyway); found out that the linear algebra quiz went a lot better than expected; and had yummy yummy chocolate cream pie at lunch. Danielle dropped me off at UCSD on her way back to San Diego and we sang the entire soundtrack of Sound of Music and almost finished the Aida soundtrack on our way there. Stacey picked me up at Revelle!! Yay, Stacey! And then we did homework while watching Grey's Anatomy episodes. Yeah, we were nerdy, doing homework on a Friday afternoon. Then there was dinner! YUMMY Korean food that Stacey's amazing mother made. Oh man, I ate soooo much of that. And the pumpkin ice cream! And the peppermint ice cream!

Then I watched the new Grey's Anatomy episode. And I'm soooo pissed. I was so frustrated that I sort of began crying. I wasn't crying so much about the stories, but because of all the love-drama. ARGHHHH. WHAT THE HECK. Seriously!

Speaking of "seriously"... Stacey and I noticed how often we said, "Seriously!" or "Seriously?" that it became a running joke for us. One of us would accidentally use it, and then the other would parrot it and then we'd say it again and laugh. Hahaha. Grey's Anatomy has definitely rubbed off on us. And apparently there's a Grey's Anatomy drinking game group on Facebook, with rules such as: drink whenever a Tegan and Sara song comes on, take a shot whenever Meredith and Derek are in an elevator together, and drink whenever a character says "seriously." Haha. I've taken to yelling out, "DRINK!" whenever something like that happens, even though none of my Grey's-watching buddies drink.

On Saturday I went shopping at UTC. Soooo much fun. $4 shirt from Forever 21 and 3 cute shirts from Express. You should head to Express for the Last Call for Fall sale!! It's currently 20% off of their redlined/clearance items. My shirts were all marked down to $7.99 and then I got 20% off of those, so it was such a great deal. And I finally made a purchase at the GAP! I've never found anything there for myself, and I had been looking for a jean skirt that wasn't a micro-mini, and I FOUND IT AT THE GAP! Originally $44 and marked down to $9.99. I love finding deals. I'd totally upload pictures if I had a camera.

I hung out with my brother, ate for the first time at California Pizza Kitchen (sooo delicious), got semi-decent pearl milk tea/boba, hung out with Cynthia, went to church with my brother on Sunday, ate at Chipotle (yummmm) with Cynthia/Stacey/Anna/Susan, and attempted to tail a bus to the train station only to have the bus driver get out of the bus to stare at us. Haha. The Amtrak is hecka cushy, but it was really crowded. The Metrolink is pretty fast. My laptop battery life managed to last the entire wait for departure and the train ride back. YES. And I chilled with Millie for a bit. And then after chatting with Alyssa, I watched Ocean's 11. At 1:00 am. Meaning I went to bed at 3:00. And I got up at 10:45. D'OH. I wasted the entire day, almost!

AND I STILL HAVE A DAY AND A HALF TO DO HOMEWORK AND CLEAN MY ROOM, ETC. Excelllllent.

school, grey's anatomy, friends
