Japan
I found a really cool hotel that I'm trying to convince Sara and Crystal to stay at when we go to Japan next year. It's a Buddhist temple that hosts guests in Kyoto. I think it would be a relaxing place to stay for a couple of days and it'd be good to follow the early to bed, early to rise type of attitude they apparently have. They also provide services every morning at 6:00 AM and I wanted to attend Buddhist meditation while we were there. Plus, it's really cheap and it might allow us to splurge for a hotspring resort for one day.
Sharon has decided to go back to Japan. America just wasn't working out for her; she couldn't find a job and she believes she could make more money at home than she can here. I'm really sad to see her go. I think I was subconciously hoping she would be here for a long time but she says that was never her intention. It's just awful that I didn't get to visit her before she decided to leave! She wants to meet up with us in Tokyo next year, though, and maybe tag along to Kyoto. That will be nice. :)
