[FUTURE] == Christmas
The trip to Thailand had gone off with out any major hitches. The flight back had been long and Annie, to Jai's irritation, hadn't slept a wink. He had never quite understood her reasons for being unable to sleep on airplanes and, even on personal trips, he'd gone to great lengths to get her to sleep. They had never worked and he'd stayed upset for a good deal of the time they'd traveled.
This particular trip home had her on edge anyway since it was her first trip coming home to Clay since they'd gotten back together. She was looking forward to seeing him, even knowing full well that he was going to look her over for bruises (and all she had was a scrape on her knuckle, thank you very much). If she were honest, she kind of missed his doting on her.
She was also looking forward to Christmas, which was three days away.
Once they'd landed and handed over their intel, Annie picked up her car from long-term parking and went straight home. It wasn't quite eight at night, so she called Clay's condo first.
