Dinner
I went to dinner with friends the other night. I was told to pick a restaurant and money was no object. I did.
And this was the view......
The food was as good!
We had cocktails. (I had girly drinks with lavender aperitif topped with citrus and a slice of orange!) We had wine. Appetizers. Seafood. Dessert. Impressed by the generosity of our host picking up the tab - small glasses of a dessert wine was sent to our table.
There was conversation, discussion, and laughter.
I like the friend who hosted the dinner. I have an unusually easy rapport with him. He is bright, talented and I have great respect for him. I brought along a friend from my office to chaperone.
I mentioned this blog as we spoke, for he's a former journalist like me. He asked me for a link and I declined, telling him it was anonymous. He smiled and said he would find it.
I believe he could. I wonder if he will.
